The marketing campaign for GTA 6 is completely different than what we’ve seen Rockstar do for their previous games. They’ve skipped many traditional times to announce new info and other various patterns they had set in the past (announcing 2 years before release, posting a reveal trailer right away rather than an announcement first, screenshots on Christmas Eve, screenshots in the summer, going more than a year without revealing new info, etc.).

It’s obvious that their plan for GTA 6 is way different than what they’ve done before. Trying to predict based on previous behavior is entirely useless and is why I’m sure this recent theory will also not come true.
