As part of these changes, Ubisoft Leamington (formerly known as FreeStyleGames) will be shut down completely. The studio, renowned for its work on the DJ Hero series during its time under Activision, was founded in 2002 and had around 50 employees as of 2016.

In contrast, Ubisoft Düsseldorf, Ubisoft Stockholm, and Ubisoft Reflections will undergo staff reductions but will remain operational.

This announcement follows Ubisoft's decision nearly two months ago to close its studios in San Francisco and Osaka, both of which were working on the multiplayer shooter XDefiant.
