Assassin's Creed Shadows is Delaying Again and joking with Domino's Pizza in the Comments
Ubisoft has delayed Assassin's Creed Shadows again, this time by another month. The game was originally set to launch on February 14, 2025, but now it will drop on March 20 instead. This marks the second delay after it was first pushed from November 2024 to this year.
Ubisoft explained that the extra month of development is to improve gameplay quality and ensure a great Day-1 experience. They want to take time to incorporate player feedback and work closely with the growing Assassin’s Creed community to make sure the game launches in the best possible shape.
Ubisoft’s CEO, Yves Guillemot, said the team is fully committed to making Shadows the most ambitious Assassin’s Creed game yet, and the extra time will help them deliver on its potential.
This delay comes at a tough time for Ubisoft, which is facing some major challenges, including buyout talks with Tencent, studio closures, game shutdowns, and layoffs. Despite these issues, the company is working hard to get Assassin’s Creed Shadows right, hoping for a strong launch in March.
Domino's Pizza joked about Assassin's Creed, replying to a post on X with "call us if you need help delivering on time."
The Assassin's Creed account responded with a joke in return. The post featured a skeleton in the iconic Assassin's hoodie with the caption, "Altair... waiting for his pizza since 1257."
It all ended with the game’s account posting the heroes of the upcoming title on a Domino's delivery scooter.
