Samael and Garog from Unreal Tournament Are Coming to Fortnite
Fortnite continues to surprise fans with exciting collaborations. On Tuesday, December 10, the game will introduce Samael and Garog, iconic characters from the legendary first-person arena shooter Unreal Tournament. Developed by Epic Games in collaboration with Digital Extremes, Unreal Tournament has a loyal fanbase, and this crossover adds to Fortnite’s growing list of Gaming Series skins.
Fortnite Expands Its Content with New Characters and Game Modes
This isn’t the only exciting update coming to Fortnite. Epic Games recently revealed a new 5v5 tactical game mode called Ballistic, which offers a first-person experience. In this mode, players are divided into attackers and defenders, with attackers tasked with planting a Rift Bomb capable of tearing reality apart. Ballistic enters early access on Wednesday, December 11, launching with a single map and limited weapons. However, Epic Games plans to enhance the mode based on player feedback. Existing cosmetics, including skins, back blings, and emotes, will be compatible with the new mode. The cinematic teaser even features the iconic John Wick skin in action.
Samael and Garog Join Fortnite's Gaming Series
Fortnite’s official Twitter account unveiled a teaser trailer featuring Samael and Garog’s arrival. In the video, familiar characters like Jonesy and Fishstick greet the newcomers while flying kites and snacking. These Unreal Tournament skins will be available in the item shop starting December 10. They join the Gaming Series lineup, which already includes renowned characters like Geralt, Master Chief, Kratos, and Lara Croft. Additionally, a recent leak hints at a crossover with Marvel Rivals that could introduce Doctor Doom 2099 to the game.
Fortnite's Collaborations Keep Growing
Epic Games has been on a collaboration spree. Recently, Fortnite featured a Marvel-themed season and currently offers item shop crossovers with Across the Spider-Verse and Snoop Dogg. The latest battle pass includes iconic characters like Baymax from Big Hero 6 and Godzilla. Rumors also suggest a Demon Slayer collaboration might debut in Chapter 6 Season 1.
The addition of Samael and Garog has already generated excitement among fans. Unreal Tournament, originally released in 1999, holds a special place in gaming history. Some fans even noted it took Epic Games seven years to incorporate characters from one of its own franchises into Fortnite. While recent skins, such as Peter B. Parker, received mixed reviews, the Unreal Tournament crossover seems set to be a major hit. With its constant innovations and partnerships, Fortnite's future looks brighter than ever.
