Fortnite Players Encounter Frustrating Sky-Soaring Bug with Shuri's Black Panther Claws in Chapter 5 Season 4!
Fortnite players using Shuri's Black Panther Claws have encountered a significant bug that sends them flying into the sky unexpectedly. While the glitch seems to occur randomly, players are voicing their frustrations with Epic Games, as this is just one of several issues plaguing the game since the launch of Chapter 5 Season 4 on August 16.
With Epic Games once again collaborating with Marvel for a superhero-themed season, Fortnite has introduced several iconic weapons and items from the Marvel universe, including Captain America’s Shield and Shuri’s Black Panther Claws. Chapter 5 Season 4, titled Absolute Doom, has shaken up the game’s meta, but unfortunately, many of the new items have been nerfed since their introduction. This has only added to the growing list of controversies surrounding the season.
In addition to the ongoing nerfs and the overpowered nature of Doctor Doom’s weapons, players are now dealing with a frustrating bug linked to Shuri’s Black Panther Claws. One Reddit user shared a clip showing how, when attempting to use the pounce ability, they were suddenly teleported to the top of the island. Luckily, they didn’t take fall damage upon returning to the ground, but the bug left them unable to participate in the game for over a minute.

The post quickly gained attention, with many players sharing their own experiences with the same bug. Reddit user GalickGunn recounted how the bug occurred while they were playing with their son. As the match was down to the last team, using the pounce ability sent them soaring into the sky. Fortunately, their son managed to secure the victory royale. Another player, doomsoul909, mentioned encountering the bug while attempting a “claws only” challenge.
This isn’t the first time Fortnite players have experienced issues with Marvel-themed weapons, and it’s unlikely to be the last. While the exact cause of the bug remains unclear, one Reddit user speculated that it might be due to server desynchronization. They explained that the server might be struggling to track the player’s precise position, defaulting to the spawn point where the battle bus begins each match.
