Japanese studio ARIKA, known for Tetris 99 and Tetris: The Grand Master, has signed a new licensing agreement with The Tetris Company to create the next game in the franchise.

The upcoming game will offer fresh and unique ideas while staying true to the classic formula. The developers describe it as "Tetris that makes you better at Tetris". The full announcement and release of the game is scheduled for 31 March 2025, and more details are expected to be revealed soon.

In addition, in 2024, fans will be able to enjoy the Tetris Forever collection, which will include more than 15 classic titles created over the 40-year history of the franchise. It will also include a new game - Tetris Time Warp, where the visual style will be constantly changing, recreating the look of both past and modern versions of Tetris. The collection is scheduled to be released in 2024 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Switch and PC (Steam, GOG).
