Upcoming Genshin Impact Pyro Archon Mavuika: Abilities, Leaks, and Release Date Revealed

A recent Genshin Impact leak has unveiled more details about one of the most anticipated characters, Mavuika, also known as Natlan's Pyro Archon. In Genshin Impact, Archons are immensely powerful beings who have protected their respective regions for centuries, sometimes even millennia.

So far, developer HoYoverse has introduced five Archons as playable characters, leaving two yet to join the roster. With the upcoming addition of the Natlan region, players are eagerly awaiting the release of Mavuika, especially since she has already appeared in the main storyline.

Mavuika: The "Pro Max" Version of Dehya?

According to a trusted leaker, hxg_diluc, Mavuika has been described as a "Pro Max" version of Dehya, another Pyro DPS character who arrived during the Sumeru arc. Dehya's kit was met with mixed reviews, leading to her being added to the Standard Character Banner. Some fans speculate that Mavuika could fulfill the potential many felt Dehya lacked, possibly hinting that Mavuika will also be a powerful Pyro DPS unit.

Mavuika's Abilities and Kit Details

If HoYoverse follows the same pattern as with previous Archons, Mavuika is expected to be a highly versatile character, able to fit into a variety of team compositions. Leaks suggest that her Elemental Skill will buff the active character and trigger follow-up Pyro attacks for a set period. It will also have a hold variation that infuses Mavuika’s attacks with Pyro damage.

Her Elemental Burst appears to be more straightforward, delivering coordinated Pyro damage at two-second intervals. Mavuika’s kit will also be tied to the Nightsoul system, a unique mechanic for characters from the Natlan region.

Release Date and Upcoming Banners

While her release date isn’t confirmed, leaks suggest Mavuika could arrive in Genshin Impact Version 5.3, potentially launching around January 10 as part of the first banner cycle of that update. HoYoverse has confirmed that Mavuika won’t appear in the upcoming 5.1 update, which will introduce Xilonen as the new five-star character.
