While no new Resident Evil game has been officially announced for 2024, a reputed leaker known as AestheticGamer, or Dusk Golem, has disclosed knowledge about five ongoing Resident Evil projects. Among these, Resident Evil 9 remains the only officially unannounced game, leaving room for speculation about the nature of the other projects.

Resident Evil 9 is rumored to conclude the narrative initiated in Resident Evil 7, suggesting the possibility of another first-person installment. AestheticGamer previously hinted at a potential release in 2025, raising anticipation for more details in the near future.

The remaining projects could encompass diverse additions to the series, ranging from entirely new entries to remakes of existing titles. Fan desire for a remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica has been prominent, although no official confirmation from Capcom has surfaced. Speculation also circulates about a potential remake of Resident Evil 5, among other main series games. However, fans are advised to await official announcements before getting too enthusiastic.

While no new Resident Evil game for 2024 has been confirmed, Capcom has announced the re-release of the Resident Evil 4 remake. Set for release on February 20, Resident Evil 4: Gold Edition will include the base game, the Separate Ways expansion, and several DLC items, offering fans a chance to revisit and explore the acclaimed title.
