The first character, Furina, is confirmed to be arriving in Version 4.2, as indicated by one of HoYoverse's characteristic "drip marketing" posts. The post not only confirms her status as a Hydro element character, fitting for her role as the Hydro Archon, but also teases her background as the "God of Justice". Furina is expected to grace the game on November 8.

The second announcement from Genshin Impact confirms the arrival of another new character alongside Furina, and it's a familiar face for players – Charlotte. She will make her debut as a Cryo character in Version 4.2. Gamers have had ample opportunities to get to know Charlotte within Genshin Impact, through her involvement in Fontaine's narrative and her initial appearance during Version 3.7's flagship event. While Charlotte's rarity hasn't been disclosed, she is anticipated to be introduced as a four-star character.
