Roblox Captivates Gamers: Impressive Debut on PlayStation
Roblox is continuing its expansion, and after its launch on PlayStation, the company has reported impressive achievements. According to Mat Piscatella, the Executive Director of Circana, just one week after Roblox's debut on PlayStation, only two games managed to attract more players - Call of Duty and Fortnite.
Piscatella emphasized on Twitter: "Roblox had a tremendous debut week on PlayStation. According to Circana's Player Engagement Tracker, during its launch week, Roblox ranked third in terms of the percentage of PlayStation players who tried the game at least once. It was surpassed only by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Fortnite."
Roblox also revealed that over 65 million people play the platform daily.
Originally released for PC in 2006, Roblox has seen successful porting to iOS in 2012 and Android in 2014. It made its console debut in 2015 with the release for Xbox One and is still accessible on Xbox Series X/S.
Moreover, during the Roblox Developer Conference in San Francisco, the company announced that over 150 million owners of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles would gain access to the entire catalog of Roblox experiences in the coming month.
The company also confirmed an update for the Xbox version of Roblox, promising users a new design, regular updates with access to the latest features, enhanced content recommendations, and an improved user experience.
