"Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth" has received a release date accompanied by a 15-minute gameplay trailer
The next installment in the game series previously known in the West as Yakuza is set to be released on January 26th.
Alongside the announcement of the release date, Sega has released two videos, totaling 15 minutes of gameplay footage from the game.
The first video is a 10-minute story trailer, providing in-depth insights into the game's plot and characters, as well as delving into the backgrounds of the main protagonists, Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu.
The second video is a 5-minute gameplay trailer showcasing various actions that players will be able to perform in the intricately designed city within the game.
"The tale of two larger-than-life heroes, bound by destiny, or perhaps something more ominous," is how Sega describes the game's storyline.
"Ichiban Kasuga is an indomitable outsider who has faced numerous challenges and always returned to the path of success, while Kazuma Kiryu is a broken man, standing at the threshold of his final days."
Players who pre-order the game will receive a special set of tasks, including two new professional directions (presumably, a tennis player and an American football player), as well as a Heroic Booster pack that will expedite the leveling up process.
Before the release of "Infinite Wealth," there will be "Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name," a spin-off that explores Kazuma Kiryu's experiences after the events of "Yakuza 6: The Song of Life."
"Like a Dragon Gaiden" will be available on November 9th for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
