Leading in the number of nominations at the GDC Awards are Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Baldur's Gate 3

The nominees for the 24th annual Game Developers Choice Awards (GDCA) have been announced.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Baldur's Gate 3 are both contending for seven awards each, while Cocoon has been nominated for five prizes.

All three of these games are also vying for the prestigious Game of the Year award, alongside Dave the Diver, Dredge, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

A total of 16 games released last year have received nominations across nine award categories, with the full list provided below.

The winners of this industry-peer-reviewed award will be revealed at the GDCA ceremony on March 20.

The event is taking place concurrently with the Independent Games Festival Awards at GDC 24 in San Francisco's Moscone Convention Center.

Members of the public can also cast their votes for their favorite game of the year from the 16 nominees in the Audience Award ballot.
