Larian aims to 'expand boundaries' in its upcoming major project
At December's The Game Awards, Larian's latest game received eight nominations, tying with Alan Wake 2 for the most nominations.
"It's a real honor, especially in a year with so many new game releases," emphasized Vincke. "Seeing our humble 'specialized RPG' garner such interest is truly inspiring.
"I'd love to talk about our next major project, but this nomination is pushing us to ensure the game introduces innovative elements. I'm incredibly excited about this."
Baldur's Gate 3, released for PC in August and later for PS5 and Mac the following month, has become one of this generation's most highly acclaimed games and a significant commercial success, surpassing the studio founder Vincke's expectations.
"Sven, you were David at the start, and now you're Goliath," commented one user following the Game Awards announcement on Monday.
"Yeah, it's intimidating, but in a good way, I believe," replied Vincke.
Additionally, on Monday, Larian hinted at an imminent announcement regarding the release date of Baldur's Gate 3 for Xbox Series X/S and the launch of a physical edition of the game.
