It seems that information about a special edition Mario Red Edition Switch OLED has surfaced online
A user named billbil-kun on Dealabs, known for consistently revealing information about unannounced products, has stated that the upcoming product will be called "Nintendo Switch – OLED Model – Mario Red Edition."
According to their post, the console will feature two red Joy-Cons and a red dock, but it won't include any other Mario-themed design elements.
The main versions of the Switch OLED include a variant with white Joy-Cons and a white dock, as well as a variant with Neon Blue Joy-Con, Neon Red Joy-Con, and a black dock.
Billbil-kun's report claims that the Joy-Cons and dock for the new Mario Red edition will have the same shade as the standard Neon Red Joy-Con.
While the exact release date is not confirmed, billbil-kun assures that "it is certain that it will be released before October."
Nintendo will be hosting a special online presentation called Nintendo Direct, entirely dedicated to the game Super Mario Bros Wonder, this week. If the console is indeed real, its announcement might take place during this presentation.
The presentation is scheduled for August 31 at 7 AM PT/ 10 AM ET/ 3 PM BST/ 4 PM CEST and will last for 15 minutes. It will provide a detailed overview of the upcoming Switch-exclusive game ahead of its release on October 20.
Announced in June, Super Mario Bros Wonder marks the first original 2D Mario side-scrolling game in over a decade. Its new feature is the Wonder Flower, which transforms each level uniquely.
