300,000 copies of the game Fate/Samurai Remnant have been sold worldwide

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have announced that their anime action RPG, "Fate/Samurai Remnant," has shipped 300,000 copies worldwide just one week after its release. This achievement is quite impressive, considering the short period since the game's launch.

To celebrate this milestone, Koei Tecmo also unveiled new artwork featuring the main characters, Miyamoto Iori and Saber, who appear quite joyful. This celebration is well-deserved, given the game's success and the shipment of 300,000 copies around the globe.

For those unfamiliar with "Fate/Samurai Remnant," it is the latest installment in the "Fate/stay night" series, which began with the game of the same name back in 2004. Since then, numerous games within the Fate universe have been released, including the action game "Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star" and the popular mobile RPG "Fate/Grand Order," whose developers were acquired by Aniplex in late 2021.

The story of "Fate/Samurai Remnant" follows Miyamoto Iori, the adopted son of the legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi, who also makes an appearance in the new Onimusha anime. The game features both familiar and new characters and combines hack-and-slash action with RPG elements, allowing players to explore an exciting in-game world and even interact with virtual dogs.

Additionally, the game boasts an opening animation created by CloverWorks, known for their work on animations like "Persona 5: The Animation" and "Ace Attorney." This animation adds a unique style to the game.

"Fate/Samurai Remnant" is available on PC, PlayStation consoles, and Nintendo Switch. In a review by TechRaptor, the game received praise for its engaging narrative and seamless integration into the Fate universe. The reviewer also noted the "excellent" character development and the "captivating" feeling of controlling the servants. However, there were some reservations regarding the game's Shell Gauge system and visuals, which were described as "not great." Despite these concerns, the reviewer considered "Fate/Samurai Remnant" to be possibly the "best musou spinoff" in the series.
