Next week, Red Dead Redemption will become available for Nintendo Switch and PS4

A new video has appeared on the official website of Rockstar, announcing the release of a game port on August 17th. The price will be $49.99 and will include the "Undead Nightmare" add-on. The physical edition of the game will be available on October 13th.

In Rockstar's statement, they say: "Experience the epic Western adventure of Red Dead Redemption and the horror of the zombie apocalypse from the 'Undead Nightmare' add-on as both games make their debut on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in one package. In this new version developed by Double Eleven, the versions for Switch and PS4 once again combine two classic experiences, allowing new players and original fans to enjoy them on modern consoles, including backward compatibility with PlayStation 5."

The game is already available on current Xbox systems due to the presence of the Xbox 360 version in the Xbox store. Owners of both generations of Xbox consoles, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, will be able to play the Xbox 360 version through backward compatibility.

Rumors about the re-release of Red Dead Redemption began spreading last month when the game was classified by the South Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee, which has previously revealed upcoming releases before their official announcements.
