Epic WoW Classic Betrayal: Troll Player Wipes Hardcore Raid Team, Channeling EVE Online Chaos!

Always be cautious of someone who goes by the name Tinyviolin. A group of unfortunate players in World of Warcraft Classic recently became victims of a troll who executed a scheme that required an astonishing level of dedication, planning, and sociopathy. This incident, known as The 5th Horseman, unfolded in WoW Classic's Hardcore mode, resulting in a devastating wipe of a max-level raid team. The characters, along with the countless hours invested in reaching level 60 in WoW Classic Hardcore, were irretrievably lost, akin to tears fading into the rain.

GeekWithChris aptly described it as "arguably the greatest grief in all of MMORPG history." The immense time investment to reach level 60 without dying, farm materials for raid consumables, acquire world buffs, and earn trust as the main tank for a boss capable of wiping the entire raid solo is simply mind-boggling.

The raid encounter where this betrayal occurred is known as the Four Horsemen, hence the playful reference to the "5th horseman". One of the raid's main tanks, going by the name Tinyviolin69, had been part of the group for about a year. Surprisingly, despite Tinyviolin69's prior reputation as a WoW Classic griefer, having faced multiple account bans, they managed to gain the group's trust. The name itself might have served as a red flag.

A video of the boss fight reveals the moment when Tinyviolin69 makes critical errors in casting and positioning, leading to the realisation that the raid is being intentionally sabotaged. The anguish and disbelief of the players can be heard through their communications. The wipe claims the lives of 36 members, with only two characters surviving.

In an interview conducted by WoW streamer Asmongold, a Hardcore Elite player associated with the group provides further context. It is revealed that Tinyviolin69 had been a regular member, playing and raiding with the group for an extended period. Whether this was a meticulously planned scheme unfolding over a year or an opportune moment where Tinyviolin69's true nature emerged remains uncertain.

Reactions within the WoW community are divided, with some finding it hilariously entertaining while others despair at such actions. Stormlux describes it as "the most legendary and degenerate thing" they've witnessed, while Noodle acknowledges the humour but also expresses sympathy. Rat_Technician condemns the act as a betrayal of trust, while Wakewilder humorously likens it to a war crime.

Some players express disbelief at how Tinyviolin69 managed to gain the group's trust, drawing analogies to chilling with an axe murderer. Others find amusement in the situation, creating memes to capture the essence of the incident.

Tinyviolin69 claims it was a mistake, but there is an underlying laughter in their voice. Such an act would indeed find a fitting place in EVE Online, raising questions about whether it was a meticulously planned endeavour or a case of the Scorpion and the Frog playing out in Azeroth. Classic experiences often come with classic mistakes.
