There has been another leadership change at PlayStation Mobile - one of the top executives has left the compan

According to MobileGamer.biz, Mikhail Katkov, the head of Savage Game Studios, which was recently acquired by Sony, has announced his departure from the company less than a year after the acquisition.

He wrote on LinkedIn: "I believe I have made my fair contribution to taking the company from zero to one. Now, I am eagerly looking forward to watching Nadjim and Mike take it from one to one hundred.

"At the same time, I wish the best to Olivier Courtemarche and Kris Davis, who are leading the development of PlayStation in the mobile gaming space. I can't wait to play all the amazing games from the fantastic developers!"

Although Savage is a relatively new studio founded in 2020, its co-founders include experienced mobile developers such as Mikhail Katkov (from Rovio, Zynga), Nadjim Adjir (from Wargaming, Rovio), and Michael McManus (from Wargaming, Insomniac).

Mikhail Katkov's departure confirmation comes just weeks after news of a leadership change in PlayStation Mobile. Nikola Sebastiani was a notable appointment when he joined the company in 2021, previously heading Apple Arcade.

Over the past two years, Sony Interactive Entertainment has quietly assembled a team of experienced mobile specialists, attracting employees from companies like Apple, Kabam, Meta, Tencent, Super Evil Megacorp, Samsung, Niantic, Zynga, Riot, and others.
