The gaming portal TechRaptor has named the most expensive computer game in the world
According to TechRaptor, Star Citizen, a space simulator, has become the most expensive game in history with a budget of $590 million. The Star Citizen project continues to raise funds through crowdfunding and has now surpassed the $590 million mark, pledged by sponsors.
According to the publication, Rockstar's expenses for developing Grand Theft Auto V amounted to $137 million, while Red Dead Redemption 2 cost them $170 million. CD Projekt RED, the company behind Cyberpunk 2077, spent $174 million.
Star Citizen is still in development and has recently been updated to alpha version 3.19, introducing numerous new features to the game universe. Anyone interested has the opportunity to try the game by purchasing a starter package.
