It is expected that the portable console Project Q will be released in late November, right after the highly anticipated launch of the PlayStation 5
Renowned industry insider Tom Henderson recently provided clarification regarding the release date of Project Q, the highly anticipated portable device associated with PlayStation 5. The official announcement during the PlayStation showcase confirmed a fall launch, and Henderson now asserts that the release is scheduled for around mid-November or later.
While Remote Play will be available for games installed on the console, cloud gaming will not be supported. The device is expected to feature an 8-inch LCD screen capable of up to 1080p resolution and a smooth 60 FPS frame rate. It will also incorporate the wireless DualSense controller's advanced features, including adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. Additionally, typical elements found in portable consoles such as volume controls, speakers, and an audio input jack will be included.
According to Henderson, Project Q will debut before the PlayStation 5 PRO, which is anticipated to launch during the holiday season of 2024. However, it will come after the version of PlayStation 5 with a detachable drive. The insider assures that the upcoming Sony showcase will be nothing short of spectacular.
