PlayStation company develops games and services that are tailored to different genres and audiences. This enables every gamer to find something suitable for themselves

During an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Herman Hulst, the head of PlayStation Studios, discussed the company's strategy for developing gaming services.

Currently, Sony is working on 10 new games, but that doesn't mean they will all be like Fortnite or Destiny. According to Hulst, the developers understand the importance of diversity in such matters, so future games will be tailored to different audiences and cover multiple genres.

Additionally, games will have different scales and release schedules, but all creators strive to maintain the high quality of their products. To implement these ideas, PlayStation collaborates with studios such as Bungie, Haven Studios, and Firewalk Studios. The latter two companies were acquired by PlayStation even before they released their own games.

Each studio is focused on its own projects, but they can receive support from other PlayStation departments when necessary.

Currently, Firewalk Studios is working on an online game that will be released not only on PS5 but also on PC. However, this does not mean that every new game from PlayStation will be released on PC - such decisions will be made individually.
