Live A Live will be released on PlayStation and Steam next month
Live A Live became one of our favorite role-playing games when it was released on Switch last year, and on April 27, the famous remake will be coming to PlayStation and Steam.
In addition, a free demo version is now available on PlayStation, allowing players to play through three of the game's eight stories. Originally released in 1994 for the Super Famicom in Japan, Live A Live was not localized for the West for decades. The game, created by Takashi Tokita, one of the leading creative minds behind Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV, consists of eight very different short stories, each with its own main character and unique gameplay mechanics and presentations. While the battle system is turn-based strategy, the game sometimes flips it on its head in unique ways.
Last year, Square Enix revived the game, giving it an HD-2D facelift in the style of Octopath Traveler, a reworked soundtrack, and full voice acting. You can pre-order the game on PlayStation and Steam to get a 20% discount.
