It's official: Starfield is due out in the first half of 2023
We recently reported that The Game Awards Twitter account revealed a number of games that will be released in the first half of 2023. Starfield from Bethesda also appeared on this list. However, this information could not be called 100% official.
Now the developers of “space Skyrim” have talked about the correspondence of the available information with reality on their website in the “Questions and Answers” section. To the question “When will Starfield come out?” they gave the following answer: “In the first half of 2023.”
After this, we can safely assume that the rest of the games mentioned by representatives of The Game Awards will also be released before the end of June 2023, and soon we will be able to see confirmation of rumors directly from developers and publishers.
There we could also see information about the long-awaited STALKER 2 Heart of Chernobyl. Although Steam has a stub release date, we are confident that GSC Game World will announce a more up-to-date release date soon.
Starfield is an RPG game from the creators of Fallout (3, 4, 76, Fallout Shelter), The Elder Scrolls, DOOM, Dishonored and many more. The developers know a lot about creating role-playing games and shooters, although some elements in their games have been criticized a lot. However, a new title from Todd Howard is expected by millions of gamers around the world.
According to Bethesda, the upcoming release will give players a "more hardcore RPG" than the game studio's previous titles. Before the start of the game, gamers will be able to choose the backstory of the character, which, according to the developers, will influence the narrative and skills of the hero. Starfield will allow gamers to go through the game at a fast pace if they wish. Otherwise, players will have a vast open world available for exploration. Just like in the case of Fallout and The Elder Scrolls, gamers will be able to look at the game world from two perspectives: from the 1st person and from the 3rd.
