The new Dragon Age should appeal to both new players and veterans of the series

The developers of the next installment of the Dragon Age role-playing game, subtitled Dreadwolf, have spoken about their desire to make the new game accessible to new gamers who have not tried Dragon Age before, but they will also not forget about the veterans of the series who became Bioware fans in 2009.

In their blog, Bioware presented some of the details of the fourth Dragon Age narrative. According to them, the developers have an important task - to create a story that will appeal to both new gamers and fans of the Dragon Age world. The studio is thinking about how best to implement such an idea.

In addition, we can not help but note the wake-up call from the statements of the developers in this blog. According to them, the game code is a particularly important part and they pay special attention to it. Although they call it "an integral part of the game world, which helps to better understand it and provides the opportunity to receive the necessary information", many gamers find that this approach is not very attractive.

Instead of telling the story through cutscenes or engaging dialogue, the game's creators resort to writing plain text and spreading it around the game world. Thus, they save resources well and to some extent fill the world with content.

The first part of Dragon Age, subtitled Origins, was released in 2009 and gathered a wave of positive reviews from both gaming journalists and critics, and from ordinary players.

The game was praised for its good mechanics and role-playing. The title had several endings, which also appealed to the players, and RPG is not just a genre that Dragon Age: Origins belonged to, but the direction in which the game was actively involved. Many of the characters were detailed, and listening to branching dialogue could take many hours.

The second part was met with a cool reception and was criticized for being too damp, but the third part was able to regain the trust of the fans. Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is rumored to be released in 2023, but the information has not been confirmed by the developers, and therefore we can get it in 2024. The game will appear on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
