Microsoft unveils new Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family subscription plan

Information that Microsoft is planning to introduce a family subscription to the Xbox Game Pass service has been circulating for some time on the network. Today, the IT giant has officially unveiled the Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family.

The price for the new subscription plan will be €21.99 per month. You can add up to 5 accounts to a subscription. All members of the subscription will have access to all the benefits of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, namely Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Live Gold, EA Play, as well as a number of in-game perks in selected projects.

Also, everyone can convert existing subscriptions to Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family.

The conversion scheme is shown below:

• 30 days Xbox Game Pass Ultimate - 18 days Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
• 30 days Xbox Game Pass (console) - 12 days Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
• 30 days PC Game Pass - 12 days Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
• 30 days Xbox Live Gold - 12 days Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
• 30 days EA Play - 6 days Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family

Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family is currently being tested in Ireland and Colombia. The launch of the subscription in other Microsoft regions will be announced later.
