Players take on the role of an apprentice of the Shapers, a sect of mages who can create living beings through willpower. The student ends up on Susiya, an island that was abandoned by the sect 200 years ago. The island is home to the creations of the Shapers, who have created their own ideology towards their creators over the years. The main task of the player is to get off the island and steal the secrets of the Shapers left on Sushiya. The game's setting stems from the idea that players can create and control docile creatures. Shapers and the world of Geneforge were the result of game designer Jeff Vogel's vision of what creatures could have power and how they would use it. The setting of the game is a mixture of science fiction and fantasy. Sales exceeded the developers' expectations, despite concerns that a move away from the Avernum series would deter players. Geneforge received positive reviews from critics, although they berated the poor graphics and the lack of theme music, the story and setting were praised and called unique and detailed.

On metacritic, the classic Geneforge scores 7.9 from users. On Steam, the remake has 94% positive reviews. The remake of the game was liked by most fans of the original.

About Hood: Outlaws & Legends

Hood: Outlaws & Legends is a third-person multiplayer action video game. The player takes control of a criminal who must infiltrate the stronghold of an authoritarian power called the State and compete against a rival team to steal the treasures hidden in the stronghold's vault. The player can form a party of four to complete a three-stage heist. In the first stage, the player needs to steal the key from the Sheriff of Nottingham, the boss in the game. Once the player obtains the key, they are given hints as to the location of the vault, although the opposing team will also be notified. Stealth is very important, as the guards can call for reinforcements and seal off certain areas, blocking access to the vault. The opposing team can also observe AI behavior and locate the opposing team.

Different characters in the game have different weapons and abilities. For example, Maid Marion is armed with a crossbow and smoke grenades, and Took is armed with a flail. Players must coordinate with each other in order to succeed. For example, only Little John can open locked gates. If the team does not have a tank character, they may have to find other ways to advance. Once the team has the treasure, they must find an extraction point, although it will be heavily guarded by knights and the sheriff. The location of the vault on the map is determined randomly, and the AI will show different patterns of patrols on each playthrough. After each match, the player can access the Scales of Justice, where they will decide how much gold they will keep and how much they will return to the people. Bounty unlocks more perks and skills, but these must be purchased with gold owned by the player.

On metacritic, Hood: Outlaws & Legends has a user score of 3.4. On Steam, the game has 53% positive reviews.

About the game Iratus: Lord of the Dead

Iratus: Lord of the Dead is a roguelike CRPG developed by Unfrozen. The game was released in early access on July 24, 2019 for Windows; The full release of the game took place on April 23, 2020 for Windows, Mac OS X and Ubuntu 18.04. The game was published by the German company Daedalic Entertainment.

In Iratus: Lord of the Dead, the player acts on the side of evil as the necromancer Iratus, creating an army of the living dead from the body parts of defeated enemies, improving the underground lair and strengthening servants using alchemy, and also exploring the intricate floors of the underground prison, winning them back from enemies and gradually making its way to the surface. The player controls all sorts of living dead: skeletons, vampires, zombies, banshees and other monsters; he is opposed by the "forces of good" - religious fanatics. The more enemies the player manages to defeat, the more body parts he will have to create new warriors of his own army. Opponents have different abilities - for example, some of them can throw bombs that can kill characters at the end of the round, others beat their comrades with a whip, increasing their characteristics. When attacking opponents, the player can take away both hit points and points on the sanity bar - if it is depleted, the player has a chance to kill the enemy with one attack, causing him a heart attack.
