Xfire have obtained information about the storyline of GTA VI, as well as the city, which may become the new setting for the events of the next Grand Theft Auto license plate. In addition, according to xfire, Rockstar Games are going to add a new map to GTA Online, as was the case with The Cayo Perico Heist update.

The plot of GTA VI, according to the information obtained, will tell about a man and a woman who are brother and sister to each other. They were separated in childhood by a tragedy that occurred in 2003. The cartel is to blame for the death of the parents, and the prologue may take place in Brazil, the home of organizations involved in the illegal drug trade. The main storyline can take place in the present in the same way as it was in the case of GTA V. After a long time, brother and sister will have to meet each other, but will be on opposite sides of the barricade. According to xfire, the brother will become an agent of DOA, a parody drug organization that refers to the real-life DEA. DEA, by the way, stands for Drug Enforcement Administration and, according to our assumption, in the case of DOA Rockstar they may use the name Drug Offensive Administration or something like that. If the brother will be in the ranks of the anti-drug agency, then his sister, in turn, decided to choose a different path for herself, more risky, but interesting and will move up the career ladder in the cartel that is involved in the death of her parents. According to the xfire source, GTA VI will be the first game in the computer entertainment industry that will be able to dive very deeply into the lifestyle of the cartel representatives.

All this refutes the information provided by other insiders who talked about rumors regarding Grand Theft Auto VI. Many hypothesized about the return of GTA VI to the style of GTA Vice City and immersion in the world of the 80s. An xfire insider claims the leaked data and speculation were false. According to the portal, the game will take place in a city called Carcer City, which is inspired by Cuba and Colombia. Rockstar Games wants to focus on improving the gameplay and features in the game that really need the developer's attention and a lot of attention from them. According to xfire, Rockstar Games wants to focus not on the story, which will span several decades in the game world, but on the gameplay, which can reach a whole new level.

The Carcer City hypothesis may turn out to be true, as this city has previously appeared in another Rockstar Games title, Manhunt. The connection between Manhunt and GTA has always been canonical and the games belong to the same universe, but it has always been done in the style of minor references and easter eggs. Maybe Carcer City will appear in GTA VI not as a place of events, but as another reference to the Manhunt universe, which has already become the norm for the Grand Theft Auto series. It is noteworthy that in the open world of the game, according to xfire, destructible buildings may appear. This will be possible thanks to some "ambitious technology" that Rockstar Games is working on. Recall that earlier the game studio patented a system that makes the movement of artificial intelligence through the streets of the city as realistic as possible. Thus, the developers want to fully bring the game closer to the feeling of being in the modern world, which, according to them, was not achieved in GTA V. Speaking of cities, one cannot fail to say that Rockstar may add Liberty City to GTA Online. New radio stations may also appear in the Grand Theft Auto online mode, including Carcer Soul FM.

GTA VI is expected to release in 2024. Given the difference between the announcement and release dates of many Rockstar Games games, this information may well turn out to be true. The insider also claims that while many things may change as the game is in active development and the release date may shift, the story of siblings, the cartel and the fight against drugs should stay the same.

In general, summing up all of the above, we can briefly note the following points, which became known from a “reliable” insider:

  • The story of the game tells about a brother and sister who are on opposite sides of the law. They will have a common goal - to avenge their parents, but the ways to achieve the desired will be radically different.
  • Brazil could be the setting for the prologue
  • The military and the cartel can acquire such modern weapons, which have not previously been in the games of the GTA series
  • Rockstar Games have plans to continue with GTA Online
