Capcom has announced Dragon's Dogma 2. A sequel is in development. Game director Hideaki Itsuno will be responsible for the process of creating the game. The project itself is being developed on Capcom's internal engine, namely the RE Engine, on which the latest games in the Resident Evil and Monster Hunter series were created. The company also spoke about the process of creating the previous game and other development details.
The original Dragon's Dogma was released in 2012 on the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. The PC port was released three years later. According to the plot, the dragon steals the heart from the protagonist, and he tries to return it. In 2020, an anime adaptation of the project, 7 episodes long, was released on Netflix.
