Rumors: God of War Ragnarok scheduled for release in November
Despite statements that the game has been postponed to 2023, the release of the sequel to God of War is still scheduled for November of this year. Publisher Sony is expected to announce a release date this month.
God of War Ragnarok is a direct sequel to the 2018 game. The project was announced in 2020 for PlayStation consoles. The publisher has already revised the release several times both publicly and internally. The development process has slowed down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new God of War is slated to be the biggest release on the PlayStation amid the semiconductor shortage that has kept Sony from releasing enough PS5s at the moment. In this regard, the game will be released both on the current generation and on the previous one, that is, on PS4.
Indirectly, the lack of plans for an early release is evidenced by the fact that the game did not participate in major summer exhibitions, whether it was the recent Summer Game Fest, or Sony's home State of Play.
