Rumor: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will have a map editor

Infinity Ward and Treyarch are working on a map editor for Modern Warfare 2, according to insiders. Initially, the idea of the editor was proposed for the 2019 remake of Modern Warfare, but then it was not implemented.

It is assumed that players will be provided with the necessary tools for changing the location of objects, mapping and generally editing existing maps. Players will be able to customize spawn points, objectives, and restrictions. The process of changing maps will be settled, if the creator is approved by the developers, then the map will receive a corresponding mark.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 gameplay will be shown on June 9th at Summer Game Fest. The organizers of the conference announced in advance the presentation of the gameplay of the upcoming game.
