Rumor: Game Demos Coming to Xbox Game Pass
Well-known gaming journalist and insider Tom Henderson claims that Microsoft is going to introduce trial versions to Xbox Game Pass. The gaming giant will be grateful and will reward those developers who, before the release of the title, first allow Xbox Game Pass subscribers to experience the quality of the product by trying out its demo version. According to Tom's assumptions, in this way Microsoft wants to take cooperation with indie studios to a new level and raise the quality of released indie games.
At the opening ceremony of the Summer Game Fest, where many interesting announcements will take place, Microsoft will have to announce the preparation of this very program of demos. If Tom Henderson turns out to be right and his sources are right, then Xbox Game Pass access to demos should appear in 2023.
Microsoft will help developers who take part in the creation of trial versions of their games and take the initiative. This will happen not only informatively, informing indie studios about the state of games, but also financially - the gaming giant has promised material rewards and compensates for the resources spent on creating trial versions of titles.
Their direct competitor, Sony, has recently started adding similar game demos to their Playstation Store.
Adding demo games isn't the only thing Microsoft needs to announce, according to Henderson. According to the insider, the gaming giant wants to announce the launch of its own cloud service for streaming games in new countries. Streaming will have to directly touch Samsung, with which Microsoft will have to cooperate. It is Samsung TVs equipped with Smart TV technology that will be able to conduct high-quality gaming broadcasts.
