Arkane Studios may be developing the next part of Dishonored

French developer Arkane Studios may be developing the next installment of Dishonored. Information about the upcoming project was found in one of the vacancies of the studio.

Right now, Arkane Studios is looking for a lead level designer. One of the requirements for applicants for this position is an understanding of the design philosophy of "adventure stealth games like the Dishonored series".

The announcement does not indicate which game the shortlisted candidate will be working on, but does include skill requirements that hint at the possibility of another game in the established franchise.

While this is not a direct nod to the development of Dishonored 3, it does presumably mean that the studio is working on a new stealth action game.

A new employee is required in the Arkane Lyon branch, which was involved in the previous parts of the franchise and the shooter Deathloop. Studio representatives have not yet commented on the rumors.

Another congratulations - Arkane Austin - is now working on a cooperative shooter about vampires Redfall, that is, the vacancy is clearly talking about some other project.

The latest game in the series, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, was released in September 2017. Given that most of Dishonored 2's endings leave no room for a sequel, Arkane Studios may have to create an entirely new protagonist.
