Unusual transfer: Sifu developers will release the game ahead of schedule
An announcement appeared on the Twitter account of Sifu developers, Sloclap studio, which is not typical for the gaming industry. The developers of the kung fu game said that the game will be released a couple of weeks earlier and the new release date is now not February 22, but 8.
From the very beginning, they thought that the game would be released in 2021. The title was decided to be postponed to 2021 due to some difficulties with the production of the game. They were apparently related to the quarantine and the coronavirus pandemic.
Why Sifu will not be delayed in development and will be released on February 8 Sloclap did not say. Some gamers assume that this is due to the release of other titles that are expected by many players. Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West are due out in late February.
Along with the announcement of the new date, Sloclap was shown two videos about the game, which tell some of the features of the title. They previously reported that the entire game, unlike their previous creation Aboslver, will be fully singleplayer. In a single player game, the main idea is to improve the fighting style. It is noteworthy that for the development of the Sloclap game, a martial artist was invited, with whom she regularly consulted on this or that issue. The age system has been added to the game. After each loss of consciousness, the main character will be able to pump his skills in the style of roguelike games and wake up. It will cost him several years of his life. Thus, when the character reaches the moment of old age and loses consciousness, he will accept final death and the game will have to be started anew. However, some things will remain with players after restarting the game (hello again, roguelike games).
