Valve postponed Steam Deck release
Valve, which is best known for creating the online distribution of Steam PC games and developing the Steam Deck, has announced that the release of their handheld console will be slightly delayed. Now users will only be able to get the Steam Deck in February 2022, which is a couple of months later than the originally intended date.
As the main reason for the delay, they predictably cited the lack of parts that are needed for the production of the console. When the release of Steam Deck was postponed, Valve tried to study in detail the issue before them, work out a plan for solving the problem, and therefore believe that the new date that was determined by them will be quite accurate.
In addition, Valve said that the order of distribution of reserved consoles to customers will be preserved. Check out the dedicated Steam page for the new shipping dates for the consoles. Recall that initially Valve was going to release the Steam Deck at the end of 2021.
