Rumor: Microsoft is developing a joint game with the Wu Tang Clan
In one of the latest episodes of the podcast The Xbox Two, insider Jez Corden spoke about Microsoft's work on two unannounced projects at once. The first is Project Belfry, the second is Project Shaolin.
Nothing is known about the game codenamed Project Belfry, but information around Project Shaolin is increasingly appearing on the network. Another portion of it was shared by GamesBeat journalist Jeff Grab.
Project Shaolin is reportedly to be a third-person fantasy RPG with a focus on melee combat with melee weapons. The plot part will take place in several tens of hours, and after that “rich” endgame content will become available to players.
The potential game is planned to be supported after release by adding seasonal content. The game will have a cooperative for four.
As for the Wu Tang Clan, who are associated with Project Shaolin, the group will most likely write the soundtrack. However, there is no official information about their participation in the project.
Project Shaolin is rumored to be developed by Brass Lion Entertainment. It is a studio founded by industry veterans who have previously worked on Skyrim, Fallout, Mass Effect and other iconic titles.
