More Battle Royale Needed - Ubisoft Announces Shareware Ghost Recon Frontline
French game development company Ubisoft has announced a new title. Now the organization known for bringing franchises like Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, Ghost Recon and more to the world will create a new version of Ghost Recon, which will be the next representative of the battle royale family.
The announcement of the new title took place as part of the last show held on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of this franchise.
The goal of each match in the game will be to search for certain intelligence on the map and then evacuate by helicopter. During the battle, other players can try to steal the helicopter and thwart their opponents. Various gadgets will appear in the title to help players achieve their goals. Some of the gadgets will be able to deliver turrets directly to players.
While most Battle Royale games support up to a hundred players in one match, the situation should change somewhat in the case of Ghost Recon Frontline. There Ubisoft plans to place over a hundred people on one battlefield.
In addition to the usual mode with massive battles for 100+ people, the title will also feature battles in the "Conquest of Territory" format, where two opposing teams of nine people will suddenly seize territory.
According to Ubisoft Ghost Recon Frontline will be distributed on a free model, but everyone knows perfectly well that a company like Ubisoft will distribute games only on a shareware model. There is still no information about what the store will be in the game and about its impact on the gameplay.
The new battle royale from Ubisoft should appear on all current platforms, namely on the computer and consoles of the past and current generations: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. It is currently unknown when the game will be released. Now everyone can apply to participate in the beta test.
