FC Mobile 26: Full Season Update Breakdown

The wait is finally over for the entire FC Mobile community! EA Sports has officially launched the FC Mobile 26 season update on September 25, a day ahead of the console version’s release on September 26, 2024. The update is available as a free content update for all existing players on Google Play and the App Store.

Jamal Musiala Joins Jude Bellingham as Cover Star

EA Sports confirmed that Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala is joining Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham as the joint cover star for the new season. While Musiala makes his cover debut, Bellingham retains his spot from last season.

Both players are considered among the brightest young midfield talents in world football. To celebrate their announcement, EA rewarded all players with free 102 OVR Moments Player Items for both Musiala and Bellingham. Expect to see their faces every time you launch FC Mobile 26!

No Season Reset – Keep Your Team and Progress

For the second year in a row, EA confirmed that there will be no season reset. This means:

• Your current squad, inventory, and resources will carry over.
• You will keep your Coins, Gems, FC Points, and Training Transfer Points.
• You can continue improving your squad without starting from scratch.

This approach seems to be EA’s new standard, letting players build their dream teams over multiple seasons without losing progress.

Player OVR Cap Increased to 113+

Player ratings are getting a significant boost. Starting with the Anniversary event, player OVRs will go as high as 113 — with future events pushing that limit even further.

While this will introduce more powerful players, it could widen the gap between free-to-play and pay-to-play users, making competition tougher for casual players.

New Icons and Heroes

A fresh lineup of Icons and Heroes is coming to FC Mobile 26, headlined by Zlatan Ibrahimović as the new console cover star. Other Icons include:

• Marcelo
• Giorgio Chiellini
• Francesco Totti
• Dunga

Additionally, new Heroes such as Mario Mandžukić, Cesc Fàbregas, Marouane Fellaini, and Esteban Cambiasso will be available through upcoming events.

New Features and Gameplay Changes

Team Badges

Team Badges are a new way to boost your squad’s attributes. By collecting specific Player Items from the same event or club, you can unlock and equip badges to gain OVR and stat boosts. This system replaces Team Chemistry and allows for more strategic customization.

Revamped Rank-Up System

The old Universal Rank Players (Mascherano and Dudek) are being replaced with Rank Up Points. It takes 100 Rank Up Points to rank up a player, but now training is no longer tied to ranks. You can train a player to Level 30 without ranking them up, giving you more control over progression.

Matchmaking Lobby Improvements

Division Rivals now features a new pre-match lobby where you and your opponent’s captains face off in full kits before the match. You can also choose to play in home or away kits to avoid color clashes, and matches start only when both players are ready.

Gameplay Enhancements

Community feedback has led to a range of tweaks:

• Better referee mechanics – improved foul detection and fewer unfair calls.
• Balanced lofted through passes – making kickoff exploits harder.
• Faster jog dribbling and improved crossing mechanics – leading to more precise plays.
• Enhanced ground passes and ball control – resulting in smoother gameplay.
• New match intros and goal celebrations – for a more immersive experience.
