Jesse Lingard Acquires Audacity Esports
Manchester United's current footballer Jesse Lingard has acquired the esports organization Audacity Esports. As part of the deal, the Rainbow Six Siege squad, temporarily named Team JLE, will be renamed JLINGZ esports and will take part in the UK & Ireland Nationals (UKIN) next season. It is reported that Ubisoft has already approved this purchase, while the details of the deal were not disclosed.
In addition to building a legacy through Rainbow Six Siege, JLINGZ esports is aiming to make it to the 2022 European Challenger League.
Jesse Lingard, professional footballer for Manchester United and England:“My JLINGZ brand has been growing for several years now, and finally diving into esports and signing my own team is incredible. Esports has everything I love: dynamism, competition and amazing community. Especially great to have support from Ubisoft. Follow JLINGZ as we are breaking into esports! "
Former Team JLE members include Sam Williams, Skiddy, Xumi, Nerf, Blackout and Movetaho. Through various announcements on Twitter, it has been revealed that only Captain Sam Williams will continue to ride for JLINGZ.
Note that last year Audacity Esports announced a partnership with the Italian sportswear brand Kappa, which supplied the organization's rosters with equipment. However, at the moment, the parties have not yet decided whether the cooperation will extend to JLINGZ esports.
