NAVI will show a documentary about s1mple in September
Ukrainian esports organization NAVI will show its new documentary about s1mple on September 8 on Twitch. The picture will be presented as part of the NAVI Watch Party online festival.
According to a press release, the documentary was filmed to commemorate the player's 5th anniversary in the camp.
Evgeny Zolotarev, CEO of NAVI: "s1mple is one of the most recognizable players in esports. They are equal not only in NAVI Junior, but throughout the world. I remember how in 2016 we just signed a contract with Sasha, it's hard to believe that It's been five years now. By the standards of esports, this is really a lot. Ups and downs, parental attitudes towards CS hobby, teammates from Team Liquid, NAVI, commentators, analysts and many others who have something to say - all this is in the film about s1mple.! ".
According to Zolotarov, the organization also expects esports-oriented documentaries to gain more traction as the industry grows.
The NAVI Watch Party will feature a Twitch drop game powered by technology from Dropp.gg, which was developed by Los Angeles-based startup DMarket.
As part of the game, registered viewers will be able to receive several special rewards such as tokens for physical and virtual NFT items. Rewards also include the player's autographed physical and virtual NAVI jersey. All crafted items are limited edition and can be sold on the DMarket website.
Recall that NAVI and DMarket announced a partnership at the end of 2020 along with the creation of the NAVINATION gaming metaverse. Within this metaverse on the DMarket platform, NAVI fans can create, sell and buy digital goods, participate in leaderboards and receive prizes and gifts from partners and the team itself.
