Generation Esports attracted $ 10.8 million in investments
North American esports organization and competitive platform Generation Esports have announced the closure of their latest funding round, bringing in a total of $ 10.8 million in investment.
The collected funds will go to support the organization's public and student eSports initiatives.
The funding round was spearheaded by early tech investor Altos Ventures, and FJ Labs also participated along with other unnamed organizations.
Generation Esports is largely known for the High School Esports League, one of the oldest student esports leagues in North America, Australia and New Zealand.
In addition to announcing fundraising, Generation Esports also announced that Intel, ASUS and the Army National Guard will continue to support the organization and its leagues for years to come.
