Esports startup Semper Fortis is planning an IPO
Semper Fortis Esports PLC, an esports startup, announced its intention to go public on the Aquis exchange on April 26th.
According to a press release, the company intends to raise £ 2.5 million to enter the fast-growing eSports market.
Semper Fortis will build esports teams, sign brand sponsorships and sell consulting services, according to a press release. So far, the company has reportedly agreed to sign four members of the European Rocket League Squad Top Blokes (three players, one coach) who are currently competing in the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS).
The company will also seek to forge partnerships with professional footballers and influencers.
Board members include Keith Harris, former Chairman of the Football League, and Atari founder Nolan Bushnell. Note that Semper Fortis was founded in January 2020.
