Misfits Gaming Group Renews Partnership With SoFi

Florida-based esports organization Misfits Gaming Group (MGG) has renewed and renewed its relationship with financial services firm SoFi.

The company will be a presentation sponsor of the Florida Mutineers, the Call of Duty League franchise, and the Florida Mayhem team represented in the Overwatch League.

Misfits GG and SoFi will also be collaborating on original content related to personal finance and financial literacy. The content will be shared across various channels, MGG influencers and TikTok.

Note that SoFi became the first fintech company to invest in esports in 2019. Last year she formed a relationship with the Misfits, sponsoring the CDL and OWL jersey teams.

SoFi has seen a 56 percent increase in brand confidence since its partnership with MGG, according to the company.

This partnership also marks SoFi's debut on TikTok. In February, the Misfits released an animated short featuring Skyz. In it, the Misfits player explains how “investing in your game” led him to success.
