Team Vitality appoints new Managing Director

French esports organization Team Vitality has hired former adidas Managing Director Guillaume de Montplanet as its new Managing Director and Co-CEO. Team Vitality is committed to leveraging its expertise in the sports and lifestyle industry in pursuit of its global expansion goals.

Monplanet joins the esports organization after over 20 years of experience in the sports field. His resume includes a job at Reebok as a director for a French brand, as well as an eight-year tenure at adidas as managing director of a firm in France.

According to the press release, Monplanets' role will be to assist Team Vitality's international expansion and plans to increase brand awareness. He will also be responsible for improving the organization's structure to improve efficiency and strengthen its position outside of esports.

At the end of 2020, Team Vitality began its international expansion with the launch of a division in India, signing a contract with several content creators. Earlier this year, the company also hired former Paris Saint-Germain CEO Bruno Martini as its esports general manager.

Along with strengthening the governance structure, the organization does not forget to enter into partnership agreements. Team Vitality recently signed deals with ALDI France, Garmin and SCUF Gaming.
