eFuse attracts $ 6 million in investments
Gaming-focused social networking platform eFuse has raised $ 6 million in investment from a number of sports stars, influencers and investors led by the Ohio Innovation Fund. While eFuse declined to comment on details, they said the commitment of some of the professional sports players participating in the round was significant.
Investors include Philadelphia 76ers point guard Seth Curry, Denzel Ward, Ezekiel Elliot, New England Patriots guard Chase Winovich, and Odell Beckham Jr.
eFuse will leverage the funding to launch new products, expand its eRena events, engage users, attract key employees, and more to drive growth.
A month before launching its platform in December 2019, eFuse secured a $ 1.4 million round of funding, also led by venture capital firm Ohio Innovation Fund. Earlier this year, eFuse announced plans to host 24 events and increase its total prize pool from $ 300K in 2020 to $ 500K in 2021 for its eRena events.
