WISE Esports Ventures renamed to Version1

WISE Esports Ventures, the parent company of the Call of Duty League Minnesota Røkkr franchise, has officially adopted the name and branding used by its Rocket League team, Version1. All future teams outside of the Activision Blizzard franchise ecosystem (which requires separate branding) will be named Version1 in the future.

To begin the official rebranding, Version1 signed a new VALORANT roster, which previously competed under the NeverDone tag, to represent the brand alongside its professional Rocket League team.

According to a press release, the WISE Ventures name was always meant to be temporary and the company is now ready to establish a permanent corporate identity.

The company is owned by the Wilf and Gary Vaynerchuk family and was founded with the adoption of the owners in CDL as Minnesota, which will eventually become Minnesota Røkkr. Version1 is headquartered in Egan, Minnesota, on the Viking Lakes campus.
