Fortnite Champion Series Prize Pool Increases To $ 20 Million
Epic Games has announced the details of the 2021 Fortnite Champion Series. The championship series will be translated into triplets (teams of three) and will include a prize pool of $ 20 million. Note that this is $ 3 million more than last year.
Additional adjustments have been made to the tournament rules, including creating a cross-platform format for the entire series, adding a round to the weekly qualifiers, and preventing previously qualified teams from participating in additional qualifying events.
Epic Games has also redistributed the entire FNCS prize pool for the final events, without having to distribute portions of the prize pool across all qualifiers and other stages of the competition. The prize pool will be split throughout the year among the various tournaments, while the $ 12 million will be split equally between the four FNCS Season Finals. The remaining $ 8 million will be played in additional tournaments, details of which will be announced later.
The prize pool will also be split across seven regions (Europe, North America East, North America West, Brazil, Asia, Middle East and Oceania), as Epic previously announced that the Championships of the season will be online.
