Riyadh Esports Championships Ban Russian Flag
Richard Lewisreports that the World Esports Championships in Riyadh will prohibit russian competitors from participating under their national flag.
The russian Esports Federation faced a ban from International Esports Federation (IESF) events in April 2022 due to russia’s invasion of Ukraine. This ban was controversially lifted in August 2023.

Responding to pressure from Ukraine's federation, Lewis indicates that the IESF has now mandated that russian participants compete "under a neutral identity without any reference to their nationality."
