NAVI has officially confirmed the change of ownership
The Ukrainian esports organization NAVI has officially confirmed the change of ownership. On their official website, Born to Win reported that back in 2018, Maxim Krippa became the majority owner.
Back in 2018, the founder of the club, Alexander Kokhanovsky, decided to sell NAVI, since serious investments were needed to bring the club to a new level. Then, in the 4th quarter of 2018, Maxim Krippa became the majority owner of NAVI. Maxim is a Ukrainian businessman and venture investor with assets in IT, Game Development and Real Estate.
However, in its statement, NAVI indicated that the deal was finally completed only in the summer of 2022, which is why there was no official announcement. It is reported that the transaction was extended in time and included the fulfillment by the new owner of certain obligations.
In conclusion, we want to refute the information spread by some media that the owner of NAVI is GG.BET. We have partnership relations with GG.BET. Our current title partnership contract expires at the end of 2023, when the next tender will be held.
At the end of the post, "Born to Win" denied the information about involvement in the bookmaker GG.BET. Recall that in the published material of Forbes magazine it was reported that the new owner of the organization is directly connected with the GG.BET betting company and the Vulkan online casino. In particular, this was explained by the change of the title partner from GG.BET to 1xBet in order to create the appearance of non-participation in the company, which belongs to the new owner.
NAVI is one of the most successful and popular esports organizations in the world. Since its inception in 2009, the Ukrainian club has won many major championships and signed more than ten squads in almost all key esports disciplines.
