Riot Games appoints new head of development for League Studios
Riot Games has announced the appointment of Andrey van Roon to head League Studios, responsible for games such as League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics and Wild Rift. In his new role, van Roon will lead the development of the above titles.
Van Roon takes over as head of League Studios after a three-year tenure as League of Legends game director. However, he joined Riot Games in August 2011. Van Roon first worked as a junior designer, and then tried several other positions, including designer of Champions.

I've been a big fan of League of Legends since closed beta and I've loved all the different I look forward to supporting League of Legends in new ways, and getting more involved in Teamfight Tactics and Wild Rift as we continue to try to provide a great experience for players!"
It is noted that the appointment follows the promotion of Michael Sherman, who became the global head of esports departments at Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra and Project L.
