KRIGSMIKKEL steps down as Copenhagen Flames Fortnite coach

The Danish esports organization Copenhagen Flames has announced the departure of KRIGSMIKKEL as the head coach of the Fortnite roster. The 26-year-old Danish specialist has been in charge of the club's players since October 2019.

Mikkel started out as a part-time Fortnite academy trainer and has grown immensely as a person and valued employee since then. His ambitious mindset has propelled our Fortnite division to great heights, and his sharp mind for business development has proven to be very valuable to our club. He has launched some exciting projects that we are just starting to dive into, and so his legacy at Copenhagen Flames lives on as he continues his journey elsewhere. His departure from the club is, of course, a heavy loss, but nevertheless, we cannot be happier for him as he can prove himself at an even higher level. Thank you for everything you have done and achieved at Copenhagen Flames

We will announce how our ambitious Fortnite staff structure will evolve at a later stage.

KRIGSMIKKEL took over the Fortnite division of Copenhagen Flames at the end of 2019. During this time, the 26-year-old Danish specialist helped players get into the top three at the Daily Duos Cup: C2S2: Europe, PC Cash Cup: Chapter 2 Season 2 - Week 3: Europe, C2S6: Trios Cash Cup - Week 3: Europe and C2S8: FNCS - Grand Finals: Europe.

My time at Copenhagen Flames was fantastic. I will be eternally grateful for the opportunities this organization has given me and I would never have reached the status I have without the Copenhagen Flames.

The trust, support and faith that the Copenhagen Flames have given me is beyond description and I have been able to create, build, fail and try many different things during my time here. I would single out so much from my time at Copenhagen Flames in terms of greatest moments, but the most important thing is by far the fact that I helped improve the organization's position in everything related to Fortnite.

I am most proud of the opportunity to work with a professional Fortnite roster, build a Youth Academy from the ground up, and run Fortnite tournaments. The people from Copenhagen Flames are what makes it such a successful organization and I'm sure that one day Copenhagen Flames will be the greatest club in Danish esports.

Finally, I want to thank Steffen, Michal and Daniel. The management of Copenhagen Flames always had my back and always supported me no matter what. I felt at home and safe in this environment, which allowed me to grow and build on what I have today. I am eternally grateful for everything they have taught me and given to me and I wish them and the Copenhagen Flames all the best for the future.

Told KRIGSMIKKEL, former head coach of the squad

From now on, the Copenhagen Flames Fortnite roster is as follows:

  • Rasmusnie
  • Swag
  • FlowiS
  • Tjino
  • Pablo Wingu
  • RYNCH (coach)
